Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) is a coordinating school district based in Clinton Township, Michigan. The MISD provides many organizations including Autism Society Affiliates with space to conduct meetings and events and shares resources with Macomb county families.
CCPlus is dedicated to providing fitness programs for people of all abilities. CCPlus partnered with Autism Society to provide the ASD community with special Zumba classes and increases Autism Awarness by holding these classes open to the public and FREE for everyone. The My Chance to Dance program is designed for people of all abilities, allowing everyone the chance to express themselves in a supportive and encouraging environment.
The Challenger Baseball program is chartered through Little League Baseball Inc. This program is for mentally and physically impaired children ages 5 and up (no age limit). CVLL partnered with Autism Society to provide ASD players scholarships to participate in their structured program so every child can play the game of baseball.
The Play-Place for Autistic Children is a recreational, educational and therapeutic facility whose mission is to provide a fun-filled, judgment-free, haven of hope for families affected by autism and other special needs. Play Place provides Autism Society affiliates with space for events and meetings and collaborates to offer additional social programing for ASD families.
Play place partnered with Autism Society and hosts Family events including the yearly Halloween Party and offers scholarships for those with hardships. They also hosts a Pirates/Princess Party in conjunction with MCA 0-5 Head Start policy council to help bring resources to newly diagnosed families and increase Autism Awareness at the Preschool level.
Additionally Play Place has taken on the First responders training initiative, in which they work with Autism Society affiliates to conduct trainings locally to assure first responders are able to identify ASD individuals and are trained on appropriate ways to engage them.
The SHPR-AR is a special recreation program which serves children and adults that have physical and/or cognitive impairments. SHPR-AR partnered with Autism Society to provide the ASD community with a bowling league, teen dances (including a yearly Prom dance) and many more programs. They also host holiday events, including the yearly Christmas Party and offers scholarships for those with hardships.
TTI is a provider of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services for children and adults with ASD. TTI partnered with Autism Society to provide the ASD community with FREE SibShops: a lively peer support group for school-age brothers and sisters of kids with special needs.
DSS-OU is the recipient of Autism Society funds to provide the ASD community with college scholarships for ASD individuals to attend college
OU-CARES strives to improve quality of life for individuals with ASD, their families, and our community by providing quality and comprehensive programming across the lifespan. OU-CARES partnered with Autism Society to provide the ASD community with a bowling league and parent support groups among many other programs and offers scholarships for those with hardships.
