Sibling Support Groups

Announcing Free SIB SHOPS

Through TTI: Identify as Autism Society member during registration to join in at NO COST.
Training and Treatment Innovations, Inc Sibshops are a recreation based support group just for brothers and sisters of children with special needs! Sibshops is not therapy but it can be therapeutic for some children.

Sibshops acknowledges that being a brother or sister of a person with special needs is both rewarding and challenging. Sibshops strive to offer opportunities for sharing and connecting with peers who “get it”. The Sibshops model is a blend of information and discussion, mixed with entertaining, exciting, and unique recreational activities, snacks and lots of fun!

  • Who: Brothers and Sisters of a person with special needs age 5-7 and 8-13

  • When: Friday’s 5:30-7:30pm

  • Dates: October 19, November 16, December 14

  • Where: Training and Treatment Innovations, Inc.: 13213 E. 14 Mile, Sterling Heights, MI 48312

Out & About Programs

2018 Zumba - Season 2 Begins

This is high-energy, fun fitness with cardio and toning; this adapted Zumba dance/exercise program will be led by CCPlus. CCPlus instructors will work with our Autism Group to assist as needed.

NOW FREE to the community

When: Fridays, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM: 12-Oct 26-Oct 2-Nov 16-Nov 14-Dec

Where: Meets at MISD MI/Superior Rooms: 44001 Garfield Road, Clinton Township 48316

This is not a drop off program; a responsible adult must be present and attentive at all times. No RSVP required.

Bowling: Season 2

Season 2 Hiatus for Bowling: Our bowling program is currently on break as it's being revamped. We plan to start back up again in 2019.

Join OUCARES at Meadow Brook Hall for a full course dinner in Meadow Brook Hall Ballroom, interactive games and an opportunity to meet other parents of individuals with Autism.  Designed for parents or caregivers of children of all ages with Autism Spectrum Disorder to meet, socialize, network and enjoy a fun evening out!
