Monica Bihar-Natzke (President)

My husband and I homeschool our 6 kids in Warren; our two eldest are affected by Autism and fill our lives with joy and continuous amusement. I have 10 years of experience chairing county & state boards and I am a certified trainer of the national Love & Logic Parenting Model & Parents Partnering for Change Leadership training. In the past I worked as a home visitor and state advocacy coordinator where I used my background in Early-childhood development & Family advocacy along with my Bachelor Degree in Human Services to serve as the voice to MI legislators for underserved populations and families with special needs children. I am honored to bring my experience to the board and to learn new skills and techniques to support my own children from our member families.

Darryl Wilson (Vice President)

I’m a father of 5 children and I live in Chesterfield Twp. and own and operate a few small businesses.  I have past experience with advocacy for families in Head Start/Early HS; I also act as a liaison to the Macomb Community Action advisory board at a county level and participate in my children's PTO committee at Endeavor elementary/middle school. My nephew, Caden, has been diagnosed with Autism & is my inspiration for getting involved with the Autism Society.

Lindsay LaPonse (Treasurer)

I live in Saint Clair Shores with my husband and two cats. I began serving as a direct care worker for two kids on the spectrum over two years ago and it has been a wonderful and rewarding, if sometimes challenging, adventure. I'm relatively new to the Autism Society but I bring knowledge with me from my work as a Mentor of the Chesterfield Twp. Teen Leadership Council.  In the past I volunteered as the Community Service Officer for ROTC, helping conduct community events and I’ve run fundraisers for the VFW as well. I am looking forward to helping the AS-MSC achieve all our goals and continue to spread awareness.

I am currently a School Social Worker for the Macomb Intermediate School District- Autism Program. I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and International Studies from Wayne State University, then I continued at Wayne State where I received my Masters of Social Work. My love and passion of working with people on the spectrum, lead me to the Autism Society - Macomb/St. Clair. I look forward to meeting, learning from, and helping the AS member families.
